After all the discussion, we settled for Bali Thai at IMM, to accomodate the meat lovers, the vegetarians and those that just love eating.


This is my first lunch with the whole EQC team. Cool~ Counted on Zana to place orders cos she's the expert when it comes to food.


Spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to take good shots in dimly lit atmosphere but still din manage to take very good pics in the end.. :(

Went shopping with bing today, last minute buys for my coming tour..
and she managed to convince me that i needed a new camera.
The new Samsung NV3. Its a camera + mp3 player + video clip player + text file reader (All in one camera!)



And alot of in-built functionalities. Like this frame~


I'm still not very pleased with the night shots and shots taken indoors where it's dark. Other than that, I like the ASR functionality.. plus sometimes the Auto function is much better than when I try to program it myself. Hmm.. but I'm still so new at it. Like all the ISO stuff.. and exposure time. In this sense, this camera gives you pretty good control over these things. From the review, it seemed pretty good for a 4-in-1 camera.

Up till now I'm still quite happy with it. :)

Not so good this time... I have my excuses though..
it was a bad time to have exam ma.. changing jobs, getting used to new environment.. and had to OT from my 2nd day of work at Borland..
no time to study.. hehe.. :P

Another birthday passed.. and i'm nearing the BIG '3'! scary~

30th Nov 2006 (Thurs)

Met up the guys and the girls.. disappointed cos Phyllis couldnt make it again. Well, we went to My Secret Garden!

I've been wanting to go for sooooo long. Nice ambience, hidden in a little corner near bugis/bras basah. So much for the anticipation, the food wasn't so good... and my 'lao ba' got very pissed cos they forgot his order. Well we were all pretty upset having waited so long.


This was my dinner,
Norwegian smoked salmon sandwich. Well.. it was pretty good. Long wait though..


Another long wait.. for Aglio Oglio. Which they left out one order. Doesn't look too impressive does it? :P


Xiang's food.. Some chicken burger... dunno the name. But I remembered having a craving for eggs after seeing that one.


That night, only Major's food looked tasty. But again I can't remember what its called. haha ;) But i'm sure its chicken~

After feeling angry with My Secret Garden, we headed for some Tau huay at Selegie. It seems to have become a yearly routine. Remembered having tau huay on my 24th bday too~ haha~
Before settling for tau huay, we visited the nearby coffeeshop so that lao ba could finally get some food. And there's my bday cake!~
Seriously, this was unexpected. I asked everyone out cos I wanted to have a gathering.. really.. so was very touched that you guys went ahead to buy me a cake.




How often do you get a big bunch of people, in their late 20s, celebrating someone's birthday at a coffeeshop??? We had to take a photo~ ;)


lao ba said it was a 'tofu' cake.... and i believed him -_- only to feel disappointed on tasting the cheese in it. But it was nice oh!~

1st Dec 2006 (Friday)

At about 10+ am.. in the middle of our usual conference call.. suddenly I received a call from May at the other side of the corridor saying there was a delivery for me.
Had to put down my headphones and frantically ran to the door and got this pretty vase of white lilies!~


* Lunch time *
Lunch was at Fish & Co with some of my ex-colleagues~ So nice, Edward and Chris will occasionally drive down with the others to have lunch with me on fridays.




This was my traditional "Fish and Chips", which turned out to be "Fish and RICE" cos they were out of chips that day!!!

Getting dessert was another headache.. they were practically out of everything. Strange waitress should have just told us, but she took down orders, went to the kitchen, came back out to inform us that our order was out. That happened for about 5 to 6 times.. -_-"



*Back at office... at 4pm...*

Zana came to my desk to talk about how nice the flowers were.. got me totally off guard, then just out of a sudden, everyone came over to my cubicle and started singing Happy Birthday!~ Such a sweet gesture. I really almost cried. No kidding.. :P


This was my cake!~ Standing with me is Cindy. An Indonesian girl, very sweet. She talks to me about Japanese sometimes cos she took classes back in NUS. Cool right!~


Too many of us, so we went to the meeting room to carry out the 'Cut the cake' session. The cake tasted of mocha, not sure what its called but it tasted great! From Spinelli's.. ;)


Haha they wanted to be playful, but i was already on the verge of happy tears la.. and very very shy to be in the limelight. But thank you all! Cos it was such a big step to leave my comfort zone to come into the new job.

*After work...*
Feng came to pick mi up after work. No romantic plans, but a girls' night out is always good!~


Driving to suntec... got to look at the christmas lightings~


Too much good food gets a bit sick.. but I always have space for some KFC. :D


Shopping after dinner helps to keep us slim~ heee~ time to spoil ourselves a little bit~ Bought a new dress at Series and had the salesgirl remove the price tag immediately. ;) With a new dress, i needed more photos taken!~

Looking around for a good place to have some cake.. from Suntec we drove down to Orchard again..


Had to get some photos taken since we were at orchard.


After going all the way down to Orchard NYDC to get cake, we had to find a nice quiet place. So much for 3 smart girls hanging out.. we ended up driving back to Esplanade. Hmm.. we weren't so smart were we? There's NYDC at suntec.. :(
But driving around town was cool, all the christmas lights to see. Just pai seh about feng's fuel.. hehe~ Thanks girl!

It was one of those days when I felt i needed to get shoes.. Working back at Marina Hil, my heels had worn out in a mth each time. Sad.. mabbe cos of the harsh road conditions and the long long stairway up the mountain. (or mabbe just my man-ly style of walking on heels.. hehee)

It had been 3 selected pairs.. until I went to pay at the counter and found out I needed $120 to get the privilege card. so... i was given no choice but to get another pair.. :D
Anyways..

Lastly.. dragonflies on pink wedged slippers.. :) not too bad for a last choice..

Oh.. its strange.. I only like U.R.S. heels.. Charles & Keith and Pretty Fit just din feel very comfy for heels.. so you know where to buy me heels if u ever decide to okay? :D

Liked the song's beat.. liked its music.. today finally took notice of the song lyrics.. and yeah.. i like it man!~ kinda speaks a little for me.. but not so much anymore.. just that certain details were kinda surprising.. so just blog it down to remember lo~ um~

first day of work.. and i miss you ALL at dso.. haha chris has finally admitted to missing mi too~ and edward says its turned quiet.. but i wasnt noisy okie.. :P i miss mi lunch khakis now.. hope u guys jio mi out often when u are still there k~ its so nice to receive smses on mi first day of work.. kept mi company while i was gettin stressed out alone in mi cubicle.. :( thanks u all~

Been having a terrible outbreak on mi forehead.. and it keeps gettin worse.. so i raised my white flag finally.. decided to stop fighting this on mi own.. and went to my auntie for a facial.. hehe..
of cos she asked mi what took mi THIS LONG to decide to see her lo.. condition is so bad now wor.. (pimples are having a party up there okie.. ;P)

anyways.. today started off with lots of tasks on the list to be completed.

1st happy thing:
Called up Angie The Choice to check out Phia's cake for Saturday.. turned out to be very very exp.. ai.. but things made a positive turn when phia decided to call up Creative Cakes for more choices on design, and i suggested to give them our 'design'~ With a better price, free delivery and a unique taste of Choco and Mango, stay tuned to see what the cake looks like!

2nd happy thing:
2.5 years at DSO... with NO RECEPTION for my starhub line... sad.. called up and complained before but starhub said nothing could be done. Today, I had full reception~! I can take calls and send and receive sms anytime! woohoo~ and my last day is next thurs?!? oh well.. 5 days to enjoy this privilege~ still worth celebrating right? ;)

3rd happy but not so happy thingie...
well.. its the japan trip thats been bugging mi since a long time ago... started with lookin for travel buddies, to change of buddy, to desperately tryin to get air tickets and worrying abt accomodation, to deciding between sticking to F&E or package tour, to disppointing travel buddies.. aii.. very bugged.. very upset.. but also very tired.. (just look at my forehead..)

gonna have an early nite.. and continue worrying abt mi handover tmr morning given only 5 days left and 3 modules to handover..

Friday (13th Oct 06) we had a small bday celebration for Edward at SP2's Blooie's.. food wasn't too bad and portions were pretty big. And it's been a really long time since we last took a group photo..
Now that i've formally tendered my resignation.. thot would be nice to have a photo.. tho its not the whole team.

cherry's official last day will be on 3rd Nov (phia's bday). Starts new work on 8th Nov (jemmy's bday)... significant days. Very important pple in mi life. Gonna be very important milestones at this phase of mi life too..

Met feng and sourav in the evening.. went to vivo city. Had some time to kill so walked around a bit.. it's got a very nice view from the rooftop.

Overlooks the sea between mainland and sentosa. Got a pic of the cruise mi older sis was on that nite too~ haha ;D

Well.. prob is dinner took forever to get started. Sushi tei told us we had to wait 2 hours, swensen's was closed for a private function.. there were queues everywhere, foodcourts were PACKED. We ended up having chicken rice at The Chicken Rice in front of the food courts. Halal food, tasted pretty good. We had a good chat about office politics over dinner.. haha

Saturday (14th Oct 06) was spent wif mom. Went to guanyin temple to pray, then did some shopping. Brought mom to The Body Shop too~ I have to remember meeting a very nice lady there. Think her name was Caroline. Very helpful and provided good help when i'm at a total loss of wat product to use to save mi horribly deteriorating skin.. Sales tip: Your customer is buying YOU, not just the product.

the air is sooooo soooooooo bad! :(
got a headache.. throat feelin sore.. the PSI went up to 150 today..
went to Hilltop for dinner today.. and took the usual stroll up to the top of the tower.. but unlike usual.. the wind din feel so comfy on my face.. cool, but burnt.. couldn't see Jurong Island as clearly as we do usually.. the haze has gotten pretty bad.

now tat he's okie, hes back with his barking at 630am -_-" but i guess i prefer that.. cos i know he's happy and energetic again.

Cute? Caught him sleepin one of those nites while he was still ill.. but cos the bell on mi phone woke him, i got this! *stunned* hehe.. love him~~ he's so adorable altho he's noisy in the mornings.. :)

Went to help out at this stall for charity on Sunday~ Its a charity that does funding by organising events for SDU. Pretty cool huh? Sounds like the perfect thing to do. Matchmake people and then help children with the EXTRA cash~ Note its EXTRA cash cos its event organising is business afterall.. you gotta earn ur income surely~
