after weeks and weeks of talkin abt gettin flowers on monday.... so that they can last thru'out the week.. we finally got them today! My poor vase has been left empty since bday last yr.. hee :P Other than the very pretty stones from cindy-san~ ^^
Just in case it was bad feng shui for mi to have an empty vase on mi table.. colleagues been encouraging mi to put flowers in it.. hehee~ low cost, 80cents per stalk, i-dunno-watzit-called-purple-flowers... but pretty is all that matters!
Funny.. wc came and asked why mi din get baby's breath so mi say mi very ke lian gotta buy mi own flowers and very ex ma.. haha! then he told mi shud consult mi boss who always buys flowers for his wife and scouted all sorts of places in the west le.. :P
must zoom in on the glass pebbles from cindy-san... there's clear blue and matted blue, transparent and translucent if u look clear enuff..~ very pretty! Oh.. and if u stare hard enuff, there's a pale pink heart-shaped stone on the bottom left of the vase. :D

Its the durian season again! dad's been bringing home alot alot of durians~
even wangwang loves durians!~ *fainted* phiaphia took some of these photos before mi came home.
Parents are stocking up durians in the freezer!
wang waitin patiently for us to give him some.. he's lookin in the direction of the fridge.. hehee~
Been coughing for 4 weeks liao but couldn't resist the temptation anymore. Mom will like tempt mi EVERYDAY! giving in.. i had to tempt phia phia to have some too~ hee~ Not only was phia tempted.. wang wang was patiently waitin in the kitchen for someone to let him try some~
Finally his patience paid off.. ^^ just a tiny bit bit after confirming he really likes the smell of it. :D
Did you know? 
1. Drinking water from the durian husk helps to prevent heatiness u get from eating the durians.. (at least this is wat we were taught by parents since young la.. ) you can add a bit of salt for better effect, cos salt is cooling too...
2. Washing your hands with the durian husk helps to get rid of the strong durian smell! Tested and proven, this is better than washing ur hands with soap 3 times!! (learnt this when staying in hall.. haha!~)

saw a nice box of Munchy Donut sitting in the fridge.. then mi sis said "buy for you all to eat one!"
so touched hor.. so finally on the 26th morning.. mi excitedly took the very nice box out of the fridge! Looks gd rite? so much hoohah abt donuts lately. Susan was also tellin mi abt donuts queuing 4.5 working hrs @ Donut Factory and another hr plus for the one at Bukit Panjang plaza... Mi got pretty excited abt this one after hearing so much abt the recent D.O.N.U.T craze! :P~
when mi opened it.. this was how it looked.. *cry la* dun look very appetizing leh -_-" anyway.. picked the small one that looked like an egg.. hee~ thinkin it was custard cream.. but turned out to be some strange banana thingie.. ;P~
i spotted this on phia's blog while lookin for photos of our durian feast!~ so this was how it was supposed to be... >P so much for buying for mi to eat leh *bleh u* >P~
hmm mabbe cos its not freshly baked donuts.. so can't give a rating for this.. next on the list has to be DONUT FACTORY!!~

Finally felt too worned out by work.. met Susan to pig out @ Holland V. Haven't eaten there for a long long time! Since i changed job?? Can't be that long right? :P
Anyways.. walked around and couldn't really decided where to eat tho we were both STARVING -_-"... Till susan finally gave in and picked Fosters~the english rose cafe!~ haha which I had thought abt going before.. cos the ambience looks soooo nice and romantic~

Tasted terribly healthy and uncreamy.. well.. the spinach taste was there! I can't say if it was good? just tasted HEALTHY.. :P
Tender.. and "FAT" as described in the menu.. hahaha~ For someone that doesn't really eat alot of beef, this was pretty easy on the appetite. ^^

Last course was Coffee or Tea. For $38+++ and 20% discount off the set dinners for AMEX/MASTERCARD of UOB, Citibank and no idea what else.., guess this 4 course meal was pretty worth it! Not forgetting the nice nice live music and good lighting that makes u look like u have flawless skin~

*~Sick again...~*
Poor me.. been sick all week alredi.. my runny nose broke into a bad cold plus a bad cough which has given me bruises on my rib cage. :(
Took mc on monday.. and went to see a different doctor from usual.
I'm pretty disappointed that nowadays doctors just ask u what is wrong with you and prescribe medicines for the symptoms u mentioned.
This new doc is the first to give me medication for something i din ask for.
Turned out my cold is not actually a cold.. but a long term sinus problem due to sensitive nose.
Was given some antibiotics and pills for post nasal drip which he believed was the cause my mi runny nose and dry throat.
Condition got worse on tues.. till i was feelin so bad i went back to the doc again on thursday night. Learnt that the antibiotics was doing its job, unblocking mi congested nasal passages. *fainted*
Haha.. perhaps my face will slim down a bit after the passages are unblocked? yeah? :D
Still resting.. very guai.. *pat pat me*

Once in a while, i get serious cravings for certain food. And this week it was sushi for dinner on Tues, Wed and Thurs. But just sushi from the supermarkets.

Had a free massage at InaHamoni @ The Cathay on wednesday. Feelin hungry, went to grab some sushi from Carrefour. hehee~
Thurs was japanese day! Stopped by Cold Storage @ Bugis and just couldn't think of anything else but sushi. Oh.. discovery made though, sushi at Bugis Cold Storage is cheaper than that at Taka! *nod nod*
*~ EQC Offsite 2007 ~*
Was going through some old photos of 2007 and realised I still didn't blog about the first EQC offsite. There were some bad memories as i can remember clearly but i really don't like to remember such things. However lessons still have to be learnt. Its all part of growing up isn't it. ;)
As i go through the photos i still feel proud that being lazy as I am, i came up with the silly idea of having a fruit design competition so the groups can prepare the fruits for dinner. ;) Its amazing what the teams came up with! You'll be surprised what QA engineers can do!
Also using pictionary cards for charades without going to the trouble of making charade cards ourselves~ mm~~
I miss our ex-director Krithika. She was an amazing woman whom I respected from the bottom of my heart.
*~Preparation for offsite!~*
Had been sooooo busy preparing for the offsite. Spent a saturday recce-ing places with zana.
Stopped at Changi Beach at sunset. The place is soooo beautiful!
Both hungry and thirsty. Lucky for us, there was an ice-cream man at Changi Beach! Never a better time to have a huge chunk of Rasberry Ripple ice-cream sandwiched in crispy wafers. No pic for that.. you gotta use ur imagination ;D
Monday (2nd July 07) before the big day, we stayed till like 12+am in office. Called for KFC delivery!~ yay!~ Too bad at office they turn off the airconditioning at 6pm sharp! Started to feel woozy at 8+. By 12am i was darn tired and coughing badly..
A little sacrifice for the perfect offsite everyone was lookin forward to.. ^^
Well.. a little too much sacrifice though.. I jammed my finger in z's car door. No idea why.. i stood there shouting "wait wait wait" and took like a min before i realised i had to open the door again. *faint*
Well, 2 days later it was looking better already~ :) Thinkin the nail might come off ultimately.. well.. we'll see.
