Had my exam on 20th Aug~ Took a day off on 19th to cram all the empty pages from the new Inoue textbook i got when i transferred from JCS. Had only made it for the last 4 lessons out of 14.
Called up the school this morning after being reminded by Siang when chatting about my japanese lessons. :P

Not bad right?? at least i passed all. At Inoue, if you fail any section you have to retake the exam for that section. Why oral was so good when i keep complaining i can't communicate? hmm thats cos i spent the 19th preparing a nice writeup to talk about Singapore. ;) Cleverly (to me at least) added in a few spices that i was sure my teacher would laugh at. Yay!!~ *Success*

Dad turns 61 this year on 20-08-2008. Being a special date and once in a lifetime (also to make up for not having a big party when he turned 60 last year) we threw one BIG one this year. :)
Alot of thought was put into the food list; had to make sure kids will love it just as the adults will. Cos Dad is born in the year of the Pig so we got a cutesy cake for that. And Phia also ordered some pretty cupcakes (the new in thing) to liven up the party.
We were too busy that day to take nice photos but Dad was really happy because it had been some time since there was a BIG family gathering like that. Bigger than our Chinese New Year reunion dinner!
Looking forward to my cousin's wedding in Dec. ;) 2008 is a good year, lots of celebrations! heee~

After a good experience celebrating Qinyu's bday at Fish & Co last year, we decided to bring EricO there for another round of fun. :) I love it that the staff are always so spontaneous! We buy the cake, the light it up, bring it out and do a Fish&Co birthday cheer~

Caught the ever-mesmerizing fireworks display on TV, the best part of every NDP~
Although I wasn't there but i'm gonna find some nice photos online. Did anyone notice those cute fireworks that exploded with a letter 'S' in the middle?? Was asking my mom why there were fireworks with '?'s, then realised later they were letter 'S'!! haha! So cute!!!

This was a festive week, or rather it's also going to be a festive month. Lots of August babies in office especially in my team. Including my ex-"neighbour" Wu Fang, plus Alan, Abbas and Michael, that makes 4 bdays in a week!
It had been ages since we last met wuff. The last time was a farewell dinner for Sri some time in April. Miss having someone to chat with about shares in the morning, and telling me about all the new things her baby had learnt to do... :)
Fortunately, I was able to join Cindy and Ani to meet wuff for dinner at Cartel@IMM.
Ended up being a treat from my dear neighbour too.. *"* thank you!! :D
Also a very special day because its 08-08-08! Also a significant day for the world because it was the opening day of the Olympics in Beijing.

We sat there and chatted till 10.30pm when wuff said she had to go home. ;( Its always great to catch up, except we had so much to grumble about. hehee~ I miss my neighbour!!
