Hmm looks like the past entries have all been food :P actually been an exciting week. Met Xueqi on tues for lunch after only seeing her along the streets 3 yrs ago since we grad! Met Weineng on thurs (now a broker at Kay hian) after 6 or 7 yrs since those days in hall! Pro right?!

Number 2 on the list of cheap and affordable choices for lunching in orchard~ spotted a sushi sale thingie at carrefour today :)

Looking good! 6 pcs for $3.90, additional 10cents for the chopsticks. Comes with wasabi and soya sauce in the pack! Worth it!

Not usually frequenting tcc esp'ly lunch cos it's out of budget but
there's a cool buy 1 main/pasta free 1 main/pasta + 1 coffee/tea promo
going on ;)

Happy with my mentaiko pasta ($19) it's super nice la!!

Starting a new project to find cheap and nice eats in Orchard.

#1 for the list will be today's sliced fish ban mian (I changed ban mian to you mian,a thinner version)
Price: $3.50, cheap!!
Review: noodles are 'q' enough, a good serving of fish. Pity there was no egg (my favourite..)

Final words: nah not gonna eat this till the next time I feel like being super health conscious again..

Always tempted by the egg~ got this sliced beef with egg for $6.90 mmm~

A 6" Traditional (choice was brown bread) with brocolli soup~ total
cost: $8.90
Yummy soup and the sandwich was pretty good too ;)

a crazy weekend went by... starting with a lousy dinner at my highly anticipated dinner gathering @ carnivore, a whole saturday in JB - Ba kut teh lunch, followed by the funny A-Team movie, and the an "ok-ok" 90 min traditional thai massage.. dinner @ Nandos was at least tons better than the dinner the night before.. :P
Sunday was another super long day on a durian tour at malaysia (blog updates later..)
and i'm feeling super tired now.. gonna head off to bed soon... -yawn*

a very disappointing meal.. had heard so much good reviews about it.. endless servings of MEAT for MEAT LOVERS (not that I'm really a HUGE meat eater) but i was really curious to find out how much will they serve! its around $48 per person for it's ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT buffet.. there was a 20% coporate discount for 12 persons or more.

Don't order this! It costs $8 for this can of grape soda that tastes like a gassy version of the china apple canned drink you get at coffee shops

salad bar was ok, i liked the cauliflower dish.. the rest was not a fantastic range to choose from, but a little bit of vege makes you feel more healthy, but that was when I thought i was in for a HUGE load of meat...

good stuff! but i had only the "good fortune" to see this ONCE! how much could these sausages cost?? couldn't you serve more??

there's bits of uneaten garlic bread which wasnt nice.. some completely uncooked meat.. and some overcooked meats...

what did i get served??
chicken heart(once)chicken breast with bacon(once)beef hump(thrice)pork sausage(once)honey ham(they came round 3 or 4 times, but i just took it once)honey pineapple (twice)garlic bread(once)
lastly.. i'm really angry cos these came really salty like they had to rub a lot of salt to make us leave..
lamb and butterfish (ONCE! after 4 or 5 people requested 7 or 8 times!!)

i can't even express HOW DISAPPOINTED i was to pay $52 per person at the end after a 20% coporate discount for such a pathetic amount of meat and a famous meat restaurant that bears the name "CARNIVORE"! They even had the cheek to charge us a total bill for 15 people when we had 12. When we went to clarify, there was NO APOLOGIES! excuse me!! what's wrong with admitting you made a mistake? we too wanted to go catch the match between Brazil and Holland but u made us wait 2 hours for such a pathetic serving of food??
