Just a few days before flying off to Melbourne.... we had a big feast in celebration of dearie's bday!
His parents love to cook (despite already buying alot of popeye's chicken) and we are fortunate for that. :)
happy birthday to dearie~ happy birthday to you!
Birthday dinner at Espressivo Cafe
A newly opened cafe near my in laws place.. will always walk past it on the way home.
Decided to finally visit it on my birthday.
The thing about having a birthday in December is, it is so close to Christmas!
Loved the little cafe, its pretty hidden though and business seems slow. Wonder if it will manage..
A small family business i think, the owners' kids are around sometimes as well. Explains why the cafe is super child friendly!
Food was great by my standards.. i loved the pasta. It tasted so homely... :)
Little L didn't want his mashed potatoes though.. that wasn't all that tasty perhaps.

Entrance to the Espressivo cafe
Little bears wanna play chess!
Some games and toys to keep the kids busy
Kids corner for the little ones to doodle or eat
While waiting for our food~
Mushroom soup
Mashed potatoes for the little one
Sandwiches for the daddy
Ham and cheese pasta for the mummy
a family pic!

Happy birthday mummy!! with a tiny snowman beside :)
Thanks Daddy, for always going with me to check out new places!
"Me" time Part 2 ~ Lunch at Old Town
Not a fan of eating alone but having some "me" time includes eating as well. Needed some good coffee so I ended up at Old Town at B2 of city square mall.
Good variety of Asian and Western cuisines. I settled for chicken chop noodles lunch set which comes with coffee. Noodles are like instant noodles (I'm pretty sure it is), and loved the half cooked egg! Chicken was pretty good too. But surprisingly the coffee was a disappointment for me.. can't explain why.. it seems too sweet yet too bitter at the same time. Why?! :(
Some "Me" time
He makes leaving for work so difficult!
Every weekday morning i have to say the most uncaring "mummy go work, see ya tonight darling" to my always 'looking forward to see me and play with me' 11 month old baby. Today at the gate, instead of just the usual crying, he added a desperate "bao bao!" (means to carry or to hug, also what we call his bolsters which he has identified correctly now and will always give them hugs) while stretching out both arms out. Crazy mummy is pleased that he's getting better at communicating what he wants but super heart wrenching to still have to go without a "bao bao"..
Baby L watching a drum performance
Brought baby L to orchard for the first time since today was a public holiday. Heard some drumming coming from inside orchard central so popped by for a look. Snapped this pic of Linus instinctively shutting his eyes when theres a loid thump. Hahaha! :)
Daddy left for biz trip
Mummy is so sad to see his depressed face... hope the 2 of us can get along just fine till daddy comes home on Saturday! :)
My way~ The Cheryl way~
This is the 3rd time i'm renaming my blog and i am finally happy with how it sounds. i've outgrown mon-cherrie for far too long and being thepinkk didn't feel mummy-ish at all. Now that I'm a proud mom of my lovely boy, its also time i shed that #actcute# days..
Last post was about Linus first trip to the supermarket. by now the cashier at our nearby shengshiong already recognises Linus from far. today we went to giant @ junction 10 and let Linus ride the shopping cart.
He makes a fine shopping cart rider now :)
Gotta prep for my CTAL tmr morning.. its already 11pm.. and Linus wont stop using me as a human pacifier... great...
Linus to the supermarket
forgot to bring my hand phone along to snap pics but I wanna make sure I remember how happy he was on his first visit to the supermarket just downstairs. he was genuinely happy and laughing out loud while walking there. :)
he caught abit of attention of cos, and the cashier auntie thought he was a girl. din get a chance to clarify but.. he was dressed in blue! blue ok!! :P
