Was a spontaneous decision to head off to holland village with my 2 cousins, now also my tuition kids for some cold rock ice cream. Had phia to drive for more practice.. and also because of her complacency, my black beauty received a deep gash in the back bumper.. :(
*heartache* but i had to keep cool so that we could still enjoy some ice cream~

Headed to Cold Rock and there! The cool thing is, you pick the flavours and 2 toppings to mix-in.

My first time to dempsey road, was to Ben & Jerry's for some ice cream! The ambience is really nice. We found ourselves a nice ledge under some nice chandelier to sit on barefooted.

Hmm.. the ice cream was just alright :P~

I've been extremely lazy and tired.. and i can probably come up with better excuses but.. yeah, mostly i'm just lazy and backdating isn't the most fun especially when the photos have DISAPPEARED!! :(
But i needa make a comeback to show that i have not abandoned my blog... i've just been tired..
I just spent the past 1hr 45 min backdating abt 4 or 5 entries.. i lost count... :P

Lately I've just been rushing my product internal release on 12th march and actual release a week later.. Alredi i missed the code freeze date and filing bugs after code freeze isn't the most professional thing to do.. so im feeling sucky...

a few more errands of my own, like bills, car servicing(done), car insurance(done), road tax(pending car insurance...), handphone recontracting.. blah blah.. so many! How!! im super lacking in sleep so dun blame me if im grumpy..

Also at the crossroads of my life.. feeling a little old and stagnant. I keep waitin and hoping but getting disappointed and confused.. so yup..

Now its just time to sleep! :)

Hmm.. turned out to be a memorable vday after all~

Well.. was a working day as usual but was lucky cos mi received a new vase with my favourite Lily~ :) Poor delivery lady called mi when she reached IBP and asked mi "where is your office? i can't find it.." aiyo.. how come ah.. haha :) anyways with my terribly good instructions she found Borland ;) So lucky for me, i got mi flowers~

A very interesting v-day plan~ Well i guess Night Safari would have always been on my list of places to go for a date.. so there i was on Valentines' Day~ with Didi (whom flew over from Austria for the week) and ani, the guy who knows all abt animals~

That's us after some drinks.. Z-bar, where i had mi first Pina Colada! It is sooo soooo nice! my god! why hasn't anyone ever recommended that to mi earlier? But i was pretty tired and flushed after one glass :P Completed our tram ride, and cabbed home..

that's it! my vday~ hahaha :D

Each of the 15 days of chinese new year is supposed to have some significance.. well im not so sure though.. What I do know is:
1. The first 2 or 3 days are public holidays! yay! no work! no school! just visiting, eating and angpow collection~
2. 7th day is 人日, which is also celebrated as the birthday for all mankind
3. 15th day is also the Chinese Valentine's day~
yup!~ smart right? ;D

Alan ordered some yu sheng and added alot alot alot alot of Salmon! when i say alot, i means ALOT! wahahaha~ :P~
Didi being exposed to this culture for the first time got a small shock seeing us with chopsticks and "food fighting" shouting out our hopes and wishes for the new year. He also got us candy canes for our birthdays! Yup, and to think I always thought candy canes were Christmasy~ :P

Truely addicted to chocolates~ and finally my first try at Mon cheri~ wooooo its SUPER nice! new addiction, new love! :')
Thanks to Didi who brought these irresistable chewys from Austria. :D


We completed the day with a nice big buffet at Sakura, the outlet at Omnitheatre. Yay~

Nope.. not the real New York but the eating place at City Link mall~ wat to do.. poor me can only afford a "ticket" to the restaurant k~ ;)

Siew wah's wedding at Marina Mandarin :) She was so pretty! But poor girl was very ill from a cold she had for a month??? And I wondered why she had no jie mei to carry her handphone, so I kaypoh-ed and offered to hold it while she had her solemnization. Isn't it strange for a bride to be carrying her hp in her hand everywhere she went?? :P
Being a little too early and tempted by chris to thicken my skin, mi decided to test my "freelance" wedding photography skills with my Samsung NV3, 7.1megapixels~

A last minute decision to go to villa bali after work on a friday night. Shiv's last day in EQC.Singapore cos he was going to Santa Ana for 6mths ~ a year.... We talked about going there for drinks for almost a yr and it finally happened :P

city with one of the worst traffics.. they can fit 4 or 5 cars on 3 lanes.. and yet traffic is usually bad. But its still a pretty sight cos of the colorful taxis.

after some good amount of shopping, we decided to replenish energy by trying the KFC in bangkok, just as a comparison to SG. As you can see, the portion looks pretty small...

back on the road again.. mostly walking.. we girls were amazing.. we walked so much i can't even express how much. when we were unwilling to pay unreasonable amounts for tuktuks, we walked. when we didnt get a good bargain on the price, we walked too..
got a pick of some electronic board about the road but didn't know what it meant.

Bangkok is a shopping paradise! The usual places we visit.. Platinum - if you wanna get multiple pieces of the same design, u can pay at wholesale price!

Next day we visited Rachavongse (bangkok's chinatown).. can't really recall how that was..

BTW is the bangkok train system~ A nice cheap and air conditioned way to travel, also to avoid getting stuck in the traffic jams.

On our walk to Suan-lum night market we came a cross a nice memorial area. After a bit of googling, i learnt that it was the Rama VI statue.

The next day we made it a point to get some A&W, our 3rd fast food in BKK.. but this is only because there is no longer any A&W outlets in singapore. :P
