got woken up by what i thot was my phone alarm this morning.. kept trying to turn it off but it kept ringing! then i realised it was phiaphia.. -_-" thot she was gonna tell mi she was boarding the plane (to china for work for a week) but noooo! she said "jie, i need ur help" *gulp* "jie, i forgot to bring my laptop!" (WHO goes for work trip and forgets the most important piece of luggage, THE LAPTOP!)
my goodness.. it was 6:55am.. her plane takes off at 8:05.. meaning i gotta FLY there in 30 min!~ geez.. jumped out of bed, washed up, got changed and fed wangwang in a rush.. din even have time to take him out for his morning "pee"...

7am, waited for cab.. no cab.. called Comfort.. waited and waited.. no pick up.. 7:10am.. FINALLY a cabby stopped and wound down his window.. when i said Changi airport, he gave a relunctant "okie lah" cos i was alredi lookin so frantic..
uncle was very nice though.. kept assuring mi there was enough time.. but when we go on PIE, we heard on the radio that there was a jam up to Lornie exit.. waahh *sweat*
uncle also very pek chek.. cos traffic was so slow moving..

wenquan called, phia called, "jie, where are u now? u reaching soon or not?" eeek! *stress leh!* im stuck in a jam leh.. wanna run also cannot lor! but anyways.. i got to the airport at 7:43am.. what speed was the cab going after the jam? dunno.. but he saved mi sis's and my day lor.. *thank you uncle*
Cathay Pacific gave mi sis an extra 15 min till 7:45 to check in at the gate... so all in all, the day still went quite smoothly.. *phew*

and its time for bed.. feelin sian..

they served this towards the end of dinner.. on a little white plate.. hehee~

been pretty down all week.. but there's all the little things that happen tat make it better~
cos of all the testing.. and alot of stressful debugging.. just got very grumpy and impatient..
how to talk when u're engrossed in codes? must understand a bit okie? so dun take offence if i've been rude.. *sorry..*

usually when mi go for jap class, will skip dinner ma.. been nagged at time and again by a guy of MY WEIGHT -_-" (guy leh.. so skinny... very ying yang bu liang rite??) this wed before going for class, i got bread oh! was happy leh! cos dun need to go hungry ma.. hehee~

Hmm so here we were meeting people who graduated from 1992 to 2005..
yup.. i belong to the 2004 Graduation batch.. hehe not too long ago la~ ^^
meetin old friends is okie.. but socialising is no longer mi cup of tea.. really wanted to find a corner to sit and "drink tea"..
but it wasn't too bad.. still quite a number of familiar faces..

Dinner was prepared by Shatec.. its really good food but buffet-style.. so had to queue up.. and carry a big plate of mixed-together food back to the table.. hehee~

The table was set really nice ne.. and we were sitting at number 8! haha table for 10, but it ended up having only 6 diners around it.. yeah.. very SPACIOUS!

They had a pyramid-game challenge some point during dinner.. which cos i thot better give Sourav and Tiffany(this girl from NTU who almost "One-woman-showed" to get the reunion dinner going) face.. went up the stage with mi tablemate Ankit (1 yr junior) and we completed the "Mystery" category with ease man! Ankit's really good with hints.. hahaa :D

On the left is Prof Yaw.. the professor students will always "disturb" cos he's patient and friendly.. some time or other when u find u needa grumble abt work.. can always knock on his door.. hehee and then Feng, and Me, and our 3 tablemates and their friend.. (sourav's not in this pic tho)

Pretty cool.. yup~ so tat was abt it..

was back from Bangkok on Sunday at 1130pm.. but very unfortunate cos 2 days at bkk.. 2 days mc after that..
i dun believe that i will get food poisoning everytime i go thailand leh.. the last time was when i went chiangmai on a community service trip.. but tat was horrible experience cos i had to be hospitalised for a nite.. after fainting at the shopping mall.. :P

V-day was quite homely.. went to see another doctor after mi strange experience the previous day with a doc tat was like 85 yrs old and hands were trembling when he took my pulse? and then he spoke to me in dialect.. (oops.. i can only understand but not speak?)
anyways.. very lucky cos suming came over after cooking porridge with egg and peanuts.. wahh that was ALOT of peanuts.. and very very sweet porridge! nice :P~ but appetite wasnt good enough yet.. but so xing fu rite? ^^

so the rest of V-day was spent at home.. with mi dear wangwang.. ^^

dear wangwang was enjoying his milk stick.. poor thing.. he was so happy that i was at home, then kept running around in circles hoping to play catch.. but i was too sick to play with him.. in the end could only give him a treat...

tat's pretty much it.. for mi "break"...

back to work after that.. things were pretty hectic, document to complete, monthly report to write, codes to debug.. wahh.. *sweat* and it didnt help that my tummy continued to hurt and mi appetite got smaller and yet i was feeling darn hungry!

hehee ^^ *being silly for now is pretty cool*

10th Feb

waahh rushed trip~ our plane was delayed an hour on 10th feb.. so we finally reached bangkok at 1+ am(bkk time)?


"chillin" before gettin on the plane at Changi Airport.. actually we were forced to drink.. -_-


that's us very tired of waitin for our delayed plane.. and very tired from beer...

then got 2 cabs and made our way to the red light district. xiang booked our room at Palazzo Hotel.

quite nice.. different from the review i read online.. *thank goodness* and the breakfast was good!
after settling down, we slept at 3+ am (bkk time) and woke up at 6am okie!

11th Feb
headed down for brekkie at 645..



and left for JJ Market(chatuchak) at abt 730? hoped on the MRT which was still pretty empty in the early morning.. ^^

this yr's different from 1.5 yrs ago.. wen also say, that time i went, i practically swept the goods till both arms were full.. this yr, hmm quite boring.. cos everything's selling in singapore le and price difference is very slight ne~


oh oh.. finally got to see the pets section! wonder how we missed it the last time we went.. there are pet shops EVERYWHERE in JJ.. -_-"

day seemed to pass quite slowly.. then we headed to MBK where major tailored 5 shirts and 3 pants.. (supposed to be quite cheap.. 1100B for shirt and 1300/1400B for pants) and Siam Square.. and walked all the way down to Indra Square where feng and major managed to get very good quality Jerseys.. at less than 400B! shen rite?
after all tat shopping, we headed back to the hotel before meeting xiang for dinner.. hehe..

had a lot of difficulty gettin a cab.. none willing to take us cos of the bad traffic towards our hotel.. wat to do? but this kind tuktuk driver decided it was okie to take 4 of us with all our barang barang.. hehee.. so squashed! but fun! had to point out on the map where our hotel was too.. bet if i could say red light district in Thai, he would have figured where we stayed.. :P



2nd meal of the day okie! dinner was at this seafood restaurant.. near Suan Lom nite market. exp.. but very tasty~ :P~

mi and wen realised we've actually alredi been to suan lom before.. to watch soccer 1.5 yrs ago.. haha! :) after shoppin at suan lom, finally went back to hotel to rest. ^^

12th Feb

got up at 8am for brekkie.. went to pray at the temple near Chit Lom station.



the dancers.. feng said they actually dance to help people pray? very elaborate..

then we went for the traditional Thai Massage near Surasek station.. (jason's parents brought us there the previous time too) wahh.. 1 hour was 450B. the masseuse was tellin us how they get paid only 50B for that hour.. so we ended up "tipping" them 200B each.. but overall still cheaper than sg.. and they were very pro! they managed to even straighten our postures for the nxt few hours.. haha~
all in all was very fun.. but started to get diarrhea for the rest of the day.. :( till today had to go on mc cos feeling very very sick.. *sob*

13th Feb

... on mc.. still feeling nauseous.. gotta skip jap class too.. :(

feel so useless.. always reminding miself to move on.. giving miself tons of reasons to let go..
finally went with feng to see the very impressive fortune teller on sunday.. and at that point in time i really felt i saw new light ahead.. finally had some direction to head towards..
but this week, every morning when i travel to work, the bus will drive past west coast park.. somehow it naturally makes the memories i keep trying to put away, very real again..

this evening, was travelling home.. i couldn't help but started to cry again on the bus.. it felt almost like i was reliving that memory.. must seem very strange.. but really couldn't pretend to be nonchalant anymore.. i really can't forget ma.. alot alot.. i think i will remember for the rest of mi life and i'm tired of running away from that.. gotta face it, live with it and move on..
i've got to realise that even if i don't change, people do.. and things just don't stay the same anymore :'(

i'm back to feeling lost again.. like wat all fortune tellers tell me.. beware of the word "love" (情) .. seems to be the only thing that i'm destined to lose to..

大年初一, we were all dressed up and ready to go out! hehe~

waahh this chinese new year he became really popular oh~ partly also cos its doggie year le~
旺旺 picked 4D on 大年初一"3199" but unfortunately today's 1st price was "1993".. ehhe.. close la.. still quite impressed by how he got all the numbers right.. 旺旺 can now pick up leaves, rubbish and paper and his food of cos.. and perform the "sit" act..

all along phia deceived me into believing our 旺旺 has been castrated.. only to discover today that it was just his immunity shots!! -_-" so he's still very MALE afterall.. ^^;
even my grandma adores him now.. cos we very evil-ly pretended to leave him behind at mi auntie's place.. he got so scared.. and was stuck on the top of the stairs (doesnt dare to walk down stairs yet.. ) and kept spinning round and round looking flustered.. when he was carried down the stairs, he immediately rushed to the gate and stood against it lookin so lost at us. even mi parents cannot bear to give him away anymore.. that moment he stood there, he really stole our hearts ne.. ;'(

sigh.. new year passed so quickly.. next holiday won't be till april or smth.. that's like forever from now.. gotta tolerate! back to work today.. wasnt too bad.. fortune teller said to stay out of office politics.. quite accurate ah.. like wat some silly colleagues keep saying today.. actually mi gotta do it too.. *stay low profiled*

jap class is startin to get difficult.. learnt quite a few new vocab today..

okie.. time for bed le.. gotta be ready for another day of putting up a strong front~
