Famous scissors-cut curry rice~
This stall is actually at the junction of Kitchener Road and Jalan Besar Road~
Never even heard of scissors cut rice before but this place is famous! Food is cheap like any usual mix veg and rice food stall. What's special is their thick curry gravy mixed with braised pork gravy~
as to why its called scissors-cut rice? its cos all the meats, veg.. whatever dishes are cut with scissors when served~ :P

Was at the esplanade on saturday evening.Managed to catch the 2-minute fireworks display on the nite of the Double Helix bridge opening~ hee.. it went off 2 minutes before 8pm on my watch... :P
when i read about Double helix i thought about anirrud and his double helix ladder~ wonder if he's happy about this bridge~ haha!

Back in borland michael had always recommended to try some authentic Japanese Omakase.
Omakase (お任せ?) is a Japanese phrase that means "It's up to you" (from Japanese 任す, entrust).
What it means is to leave the selection to the chef~
Was super excited when suming had invited us along with her 2 japanese friends to Miz to try out a $50 budget Omakase. You can actually plan your budget urself, if u decide to have a more "atas" meal that day u can always request something more.
Here's what we got with $50~
