Hong Kong.. the other 3 days (24th ~ 28th Dec 2008)

Here is Part 2... Ocean Park.. The Peak.. and our other F&E shopping and eating and shopping and eating.... and....

At the point.. i'm feeling quite proud at how good my memory still is..
that's why photos are important!

Day 3 was planned for the famous Ocean Park that always get mentioned in HK TV serials!

Yay! finally at the entrance!

going up a very long escalator....

Mmm.. to our surprise.. the place is not as touristy as you might have imagined.. its very different from Disneyland for one.. but maybe a more regular family day out kinda place..  a place where u get for example,

sea lion shows! Cute! :)

and a 360 degree tower where u can overlook the whole park~

there's the park below~

also interesting sea horse like aquarium beings..

and the not so interesting sharks of course~

ahh this was exciting! kinda freaky too when then winds got too strong! a very long cable car ride across the mountains beside the cliffs.. just to get to the other side of Ocean Park.

took this shot while sitting in one of the cars...

on the other side.. we have... Madagascar 2!

and cute panda bins!

ok.. a real GIANT PANDA HABITAT!

one of the pambassadors from China of course~ enjoying his bamboo~

Day 4.. shopping day at Harbour City..

followed by a half day tour which brings us to

THE PEAK

view from the peak~

and a nice seafood dinner (this.. i can't remember where it was..)

the nice auntie at the restaurant showing us the cool seafood

the restaurant we were having our meal~

 our unbelievable spread!!

Apparently according to our guide who was in shock when he realised what we had, they served us the "wrong" food, thank goodness.. we were so lucky cos there were some rich men from China having a crazy feast, and we were served the same food they ordered!! by accident!

Next stop was Avenue of Stars (星光大道)

famous for the hand prints of all the very famous stars

and the laser show from the buildings (pity the photo doesn't do much justice to the actual pretty lights)

every building having its own christmas greetings! nice... :)

Last day in HK? what could we do...

Of course to find some nice dumpling noodles!

intentionally sitting by the road side~

huge dumplings with handmade noodles! perfect!

That's all folks..

HK international airport for some last min shopping~

finally it was home sweet home especially for Bing and Daniel.. (as my memory does not fail me) cos they missed baby claire who had just turned 1 year old so much so much for the 4 days we were out holidaying!

My lesson learnt: honeymoon before the kids come, for sure!

Hong Kong Disneyland Day 1 & 2 (24th ~ 28th Dec 2008)

This is how backdated my posts go.. finally my full blog post of Christmas in Hong Kong 4 years ago..
I do finally intend to do all of them up before my Honeymoon in 2 weeks time which i expect to procrastinate abt blogging as well.. *hopefully not*

Here goes.. PART 1 of the story... Day 1 & 2 in Hong Kong Disneyland

Arriving at Changi Airport!
Of course we were excited cos the whole place was nicely done up with a Disney theme~

lunch on the plane~

Welcomed by a bunch of air-Santa-ladies at HK international airport~

checking into our hotel... Disney Hollywood!

Waiting at the lobby... where we smartly paid extra for priority queue tickets at Disneyland!
(Probably a good idea as it saved us about 60% of the waiting time at each attraction.)

The window display at the Disney shop at the lobby.. so pretty...

ahh that's the piano pool! didn't get to enjoy the water though..

Without much time wasted, off to Disneyland we go!!

as usual.. a pic at the entrance~

and then a crazy pic of me and phia to show our energy levels!

queuing to meet the lion king.. obviously there was a big crowd at every ride and show~

*~ Oh, I just can't wait to be king! ~*

even the signage to the toilets had to be so cute.. :P

sleeping beauty's castle by evening~

while waiting for the evening parade, we figured what the special glasses were for :)

after putting on the glasses, there are angels everywhere!

Here comes the band!

and our favorite seven dwarfs with snow white of cos!

the hot favorite! Mickey and Minnie! And also Santa!

After the parade we went for another mickey mouse show~

the Golden Mickey show~

And a 4D show! Which was darn good!

Not forgetting our Disneyland fast food dinner ~

By then, night had already fallen......

Here's sleeping beauty's castle again, all lit up and pretty~

there's the daily 8 pm fireworks before Disneyland is closed for the day~

Back to the hotel for a good night sleep before we wake up for Day 2 at Disneyland to make good use of our 2-day pass~

look at the breakfast spread~

us.. having waffles on a Mickey plate~

back in the park! even the plants are so neatly arranged~

train is coming.. train is coming....

got the train master to take this for us :)

again.. sleeping beauty's castle in broad day light where lots of tourists are having a photostop~

phia, buzz, and me :)

before getting onto the pirates boat ride, we snapped one with a real life pirate!

our guide, very entertaining!

that's Tarzan's tree house, which we could get off the boat to visit

a day time band!

was doing some shopping and spotted kids having fun with bubbles :D

caught Mulan as she was strolling in the park~

and this is my closest shot with goofy if i didn't want to join the queue :(

Finally reaching Mickey's house after a long queue~

We were quite tired by then.. decided we probably had enough of phototaking and it was time to have some fun in other parts of Hong Kong.. :) was hoping to sqeeze some time to Ngong Ping 360!

at the train station..

more photos while waiting for the train~

notice anything special abt the train windows? :)

because we came out so late.. we didn't manage to go to Ngong Ping after all.. too late for any cable car rides...

so all we did was to eat... interestingly, at a food republic food court serving HK choices~

soon we were back at Disney Hollywood enjoyin the sunset~

and looking at baby princesses stroll in the hotel park~ :)
