Hong Kong.. the other 3 days (24th ~ 28th Dec 2008)

Here is Part 2... Ocean Park.. The Peak.. and our other F&E shopping and eating and shopping and eating.... and....

At the point.. i'm feeling quite proud at how good my memory still is..
that's why photos are important!

Day 3 was planned for the famous Ocean Park that always get mentioned in HK TV serials!

Yay! finally at the entrance!

going up a very long escalator....

Mmm.. to our surprise.. the place is not as touristy as you might have imagined.. its very different from Disneyland for one.. but maybe a more regular family day out kinda place..  a place where u get for example,

sea lion shows! Cute! :)

and a 360 degree tower where u can overlook the whole park~

there's the park below~

also interesting sea horse like aquarium beings..

and the not so interesting sharks of course~

ahh this was exciting! kinda freaky too when then winds got too strong! a very long cable car ride across the mountains beside the cliffs.. just to get to the other side of Ocean Park.

took this shot while sitting in one of the cars...

on the other side.. we have... Madagascar 2!

and cute panda bins!

ok.. a real GIANT PANDA HABITAT!

one of the pambassadors from China of course~ enjoying his bamboo~

Day 4.. shopping day at Harbour City..

followed by a half day tour which brings us to

THE PEAK

view from the peak~

and a nice seafood dinner (this.. i can't remember where it was..)

the nice auntie at the restaurant showing us the cool seafood

the restaurant we were having our meal~

 our unbelievable spread!!

Apparently according to our guide who was in shock when he realised what we had, they served us the "wrong" food, thank goodness.. we were so lucky cos there were some rich men from China having a crazy feast, and we were served the same food they ordered!! by accident!

Next stop was Avenue of Stars (星光大道)

famous for the hand prints of all the very famous stars

and the laser show from the buildings (pity the photo doesn't do much justice to the actual pretty lights)

every building having its own christmas greetings! nice... :)

Last day in HK? what could we do...

Of course to find some nice dumpling noodles!

intentionally sitting by the road side~

huge dumplings with handmade noodles! perfect!

That's all folks..

HK international airport for some last min shopping~

finally it was home sweet home especially for Bing and Daniel.. (as my memory does not fail me) cos they missed baby claire who had just turned 1 year old so much so much for the 4 days we were out holidaying!

My lesson learnt: honeymoon before the kids come, for sure!
