*~ Bloggers' Night ~*

Orange Clove Bloggers' Night

Attend my first Blogger event last friday evening organised by Neo Group and in an area i love~
*~ Eating ~*
Probably a more atas way to look at it will be
*~ Food & Wine sampling ~*

Before heading out i decided to tease my friends by leaving my status in facebook as
"... going for food tasting..." hee~

A little bit of a bad weather but it didn't deter the bloggers from making their way to the Botanic Gardens~ Poor me spent another 15 minutes getting lost in School of Physical Education after making a wrong turn.. and the rain causing my google maps to hang on me.. ;P

*~ my pink invitation ~*

For these 2 little food items, i wiki-ed the meaning of canapé! ;)

A canapé (Spanish/French for couch and known in Italy as tartina) is a small, prepared and usually decorative food, held in the fingers and often eaten in one bite.

*~ canapé ~*

This was as good as it looks~ healthy, tasty and pretty~

*~ prawn salad canapé? ~*

Sushi~ always a favourite for me :) Had to rush in to get a photo before the dish got "attacked"~

*~ Spring Sushi Platter ~*

Highly recommended by Jessie, one of the organisers of the event. mmm.. but it was hard to get a nice photo when the food is left in the heating tray..

*~ Pan-Fried Snapper with Miso Butter Sauce ~*

A fusion of western and asian~

*~ Baby Potatoes ~*

and if you love sausages....

*~ Sausage Platter ~*

Not forgetting our veggies...

*~greens for the health conscious~*

DESSERTS
********

*~ lemon merguine~*

These cupcakes were sweet, orange flavoured~ mmm.. however the cupcake deco does not do the taste justice.. and it made it a little too sweeeeet so had to remove the icing sugar on top to enjoy the cake inside :)

*~ hmm Orange Clove "Wedding" Cup Cakes? ~*

*~ Other bloggers! ~*

When choosing a caterer, not only is the food important.. the setup of the place is also important. The choice of location was already an added advantage.. the garden setting and the cool after-rain feeling~

2 deco pieces that caught my eye~

*~ pretty glass dangles ~*

*~ a sweet floating candles stand ~*

Time for some wine tasting~ The organisers took effort to explain 2 wines and recommendation to what kinda food to go with. Preferred the sweet Estio white wine from Spain..

*~ enjoying a bit of red wine ~*

Wrapping up with the highly anticipated lucky draw event~

*~ Mr Neo announcing the first lucky winner! ~*

Not bad for a first time! Glad the photos with my faithful Canon Ixus 110IS turned out better than i expected... despite having to be a little thick-skinned running around and disrupting people enjoying their food.. hee~

MMmm~ Looking forward to their next event held in October ;)

Just received the group photo from the organiser!~ Hurray~ Thanks Jane & Jessie!~

Appetizing food with aromatic wine accompanied by a beautiful lady in an enchanting garden setting makes a memorable and unforgettable night ...

Neo Group's buffet is always one of the best. Tasted Neo Garden's buffet before too. Sigh. Why am I still holding onto my Select Group shares? :(

pro!~ teacher knows Neo Group! are they listed too?? Select is still around is it? their foodcourts still called Select meh?

Neo Group not listed :(

Select Group is now more towards their catering business, though they still operate some food courts under Select name selling Chinese mixed vegetable rice.
